ABC Center

ABC Center

CUPA has been a part of BBMP’s stray dog sterilization (ABC-Animal Birth Control) Programme for the last 10 years. CUPA started the sterilization process in 1994 itself, operating 200 – 300 dogs a month at its own cost, using the BBMP (then BCC) dog vans and staff.

In 2000 October, the electrocution of dogs was stopped, and the ABC programme was started in the city, funded by the BMP.

Bath time at ABC Center

The CUPA volunteer team  is always ready and enthusiastic to bathe the shelter dogs every weekend, but on one of the lazy weekends of January, the team decided to pick up towel, shampoos and head towards the ABC Center  with an amateur volunteer photographer . They had a great time bathing Rani, Ajith and of course Chesspawn. They even viewed the tricks of the dog who salutes and the darling ones who wait to be shut inside the kennels.Truly , the ABC Center dogs have their own charm and volunteers take back memorable experiences
